About Me

My photo
The Parts Chick
I have recently relocated from the North Carolina mountains to the southern coast of Georgia. I'm dealing with my family, business and my new life here, as well as the recent deployment of my partner of 12 years to the middle east. I am the proverbial motorhead, as well as an avid house and car renovator. I love the sound, look smell and sound of machines. Especially machines that go fast an look good doing it. My grandfather restored Rolls Royce automobiles and I was hooked at a young age on the beauty of a classic fine tuned machine. My Dad and Mom had a Honda motorcycle dealership, and I got my first motorcycle under the christmas tree. My XR80 was one of the bikes that I helped assemble in the shop from the crates, shipped from the factory. Ive done many things in my life, including writing and my art, but I always go back to the cars and bikes, which are the best things to me. Some are rolling history, others personal statements, and mobile sculpture, but I love them all. Chrome, Glossy paint and motor oil make me happy. Its also what keeps me sane, and will hopefully continue to do so.
